Ruth 1:16-17 TLV Ruth’s Covenant With Naomi
16 Ruth replied,
“Do not plead with me to abandon you,
to turn back from following you.
For where you go, I will go,
and where you stay, I will stay.
Your people will be my people,
and your God my God.
17 Where you die, I will die,
and there I will be buried.
May Adonai deal with me, and worse,
if anything but death comes between me and you!”

Chag Sameach everyone!
I enjoy researching deep spiritual pondering the story of Book of Ruth (Megillat Ruth) Megillat Ruth means the Scroll of Ruth some says Rut we all see Ruth 4:22 CJB
22 ‘Oved (Obed) was the father of Yishai (Jesse), and Yishai (Jesse) was the father of David.
King David was the king of Israel and the ancestor of Yeshua haMashiyach on Matthew 1:1 TLV
The book of the genealogy of Yeshua ha-Mashiach, Ben-David,[b]Ben-Avraham:
Footnote:
[b] Matthew 1:1 cf. 2 Sam. 7:12-16; Ps. 89:4-5(3-4); Isa. 9:5-6(6-7).

Who wrote about the Book of Ruth? The prophet Samuel.
First read about Ruth 1:1 Elimelech’s family in Moab:
1 It came to pass in the days when judges were governing, there was a famine in the land. A man went from the town of Bethlehem[a] in Judah to dwell in the region of Moab with his wife and his two sons.
Footnotes:
[a] Ruth 1:1 Meaning, House of Bread.
The above scripture verse The Megallit Ruth (The Scroll of Ruth) occurred on Ruth 1:1:
“During which historical period of the Shoftim (Judges), Boaz was the shofet (judge) at the time.”
shofet is singular.
shoftim is plural.

Ruth was great grandmother of King David. The story of David was born in Bethlehem of Judea on Shavuot. King David reigned in Hebron over all Judah for 7 years and reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel for 33 years total 40 years, and he died on Shavuot.
On 1 Kings 2 Chapter in Jerusalem King David died and buried in Jerusalem on Shavuot (how do we all know?)
The Book of Ruth is the key I’d call PaRDes more interesting deep spiritual about the Book of Ruth (Megillat Ruth):
[1] Jerusalem Talmud, Hagigah 2:3:
“David died on Atzeret [Feast of Weeks}. See further note 3
Note [3] Rabbi Zevin cities Tevu’ot Shor on Baba Batra 13b, where we read that the Holy One, blessed be He, sits and grants fullness of years to the righteous, which means that they are born and die on the same day. Tevu’ot Shor reasons that since David passed away on the Feast of Weeks (see note 1), that means that he was also born on that day.
“Therefore one reads the book of Ruth, in order to honor David on his birthday.”
This Torah is written in Megillat Ruth (The Scroll of Rut) 4:22, “and Yishai (Jesse) gave birth to David.”
On the Festival of Shavuot aka “Feast of Weeks” is the connection on this last posuk of Megillat Ruth which we all read on the Festival of Shavuot:
King David was born and died on the festival of Shavuot. This book have information:
See Tosafos, Chagigah 17a citing Yerushalmi, Chagigah 2:3 stating that David died on Shavuot. See Kiddushin 38a and Sotah 13b about the righteous dying on their birthdays.
I strongly believe King David (baby) was born on Shavuot and he died of an old age on Shavuot. Nathan rebuked King David repented his sins after adultery Bathsheba and sent soldiers killed Bathsheba’s husband. Sweet Ruach of YHWH convicted his heart crying repenting presence His Sweet Abba YHWH & His Divine gracious and merciful hugging King David. Very humble story. HalleluYAH!
