John 1:1-5 TLV
1 In the beginning was the Word.[a] The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were made through Him, and apart from Him nothing was made that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.

Light (English):
‘or (ohr) in Hebrew. Some says Awr/Aur/Ohr/Owr/’Or: Light. They all are same.
noohra in Aramaic
phos in Greek (G5457)
The Hebrew word for light is ‘or (ohr) which is spelled differently than the Aramaic word which is spelled Nun, Hei, and Resh. The Hebrew word is spelled “Aleph, Vav, Resh.
In Hebrew Strong’s Number is H215: ‘or (ohr/owr). The verb shows deep spiritual definition is “to be or become light.” We all can click and find Hebrew Interlinear H215 also check on Bible Hub H215. I enjoy reading this (click on) Aramaic about Light
‘or (ohr) (“light”) is singular.
Ohros/Ohrot (“Lights” אורות) are plural.
Interesting this:
The Hebrew word ‘or’ is the source of the words: ‘orient’ and its derivative ‘orientation.’ Orient is the east — the direction from where the light on earth comes. ‘Orientation’ is basically the right direction to go and we find our way only when there is light (‘or). The word ‘menorah’ (candelabra, lamp, or candelabrum)..i.e. Chanukah (Hanukkah) “Festival of Lights” means to dedication please click on Chanukah/Hanukkah.
May YHWH bless you seek joyous path through His-Only-Begotten Son Yeshua Mashiyach’s Name. Shavua Tov (Have a good week).
