Yom Teruah/ Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown (sunset) on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 (new Tishri 1, 5783). Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year. It is the anniversary of the creation of Adam and Eve (Chavah) on Genesis 1:26 & Genesis 5:1-4, and a day of judgment of Our King YHWH & His Mashiyach!

YHWH Elohim created the world in six days, and Adam and Eve, the first people, were formed on Day Six. Rosh Hashanah is the anniversary of their creation. HalleluYAH!

Rosh haShanah literally means “Head of the Year” or “Start of the Year”. Elaborates Rosh is the Hebrew word for “head”, ha is the definite article (“the”), and shana means year. Rosh HaShanah means “start of the year”.

Yom Teruah literally means “day of shouting or blasting according Numbers 29:1….”day of blowing [the horn]” means Yom Teruah.

Greeting to say everyone: Happy New Year!

Rosh Hashanah is “L’shanah tovah”, which translates to “for a good year”. People may also use a longer phrase, “Shanah Tovah um’tukah”, Hebrew for “may you have a good and sweet new year.”

Both form parts of the traditional full greeting of “L’shanah tovah tikatev v’taihatem”. Hebrew Translated, this means “may you be inscribed [in the book of life] and sealed for a good year”.

Very sweet simple “happy new year” will suffice for those who can’t speak Hebrew. Please respect and be kind & enjoy spiritual fellowship with Sweet ABBA through His Precious Blood of Lamb Son King Yeshua haMashiyach. Stick on scripture verses.

We all read Genesis 21:1-34, Leviticus 23:23-25, Numbers 29:1-6, 1 Samuel 1:1-2:10, Judges 5 (Song of Deborah), Psalms 47, Psalms 113, Jeremiah 31:1-19, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 1 Thess. 4:13-18, Revelation 22, and many scripture verses.
