Novena what is this word means?
Novena is derived from the Latin word for nine, or “novem.” Typically, a novena refers to nine days of prayer, asking God for a specific intention, often through a Saint’s intercession. Novenas are a beautiful way to grow purposeful, consistent, and persistent in daily prayer.
Why 9 consecutive days?

I learn new why number nine (beloved Catholic and beloved Jewish’s BOTH awesome views on 9) is significantly important getting my deserving of attention on the Book of Acts to share you all:
Beloved Catholic Church’s view on “9”:
The Pentecost Novena is the first of all novenas, nine days of prayer. After Jesus’ Ascension into heaven, He commanded His disciples to come together in the upper room to devote themselves to constant prayer (Acts 1:14). They prayed for nine days before receiving the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
I researched more admiringly spiritual comprehension EWTN and excellent article: Novena to the Holy Spirit
This is the prototype of all novenas. It commemorates the nine days between the Ascension of Our Lord and the descent of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost Sunday. During this time Our Lady and the twelve Apostles prayed in the upper room for the coming of the Paraclete.

Beloved Jewish’s view on “9”:
In Hebrew, the number nine is represented by the letter Teth (ט). Teth is the ninth letter in the Hebrew alphabet, and its shape resembles a coiled serpent.
This “nine” reminds me memorized studying Torah Parasha every Shabbat week:
Example of Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived through Holy Spirit (Ruach haKodesh) the Chanukah “Festival of Lights (Festival of Rededication) begins on 25 Kislev (Hanukkah) for 9 months (40 weeks) until had childbirth at stable (sukkah is singular) in Bethlehem (House of Bread):
Yeshua was born during the Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacle) is on 1st day: High Shabbat (High Holy day) and last day: Shemini Atzeret (Eighth Day of the Solemn Assembly) is High Shabbat (High Holy day) parallel Yeshua was circumcised on 8th day according Tanakh (OT) and Brit Chadasha (NT).
9 months in Hebrew numerology, the number nine is associated with the concept of pregnancy and childbirth. This association stems from the fact that the human gestation period is typically nine months, and childbirth is the ultimate act of creation.
Yeshua was circumcised parellel Eighth Day of the Solemn Assembly
Shemini Atzeret, (Hebrew: “Eighth Day of the Solemn Assembly”), a Jewish religious festival on the eighth day of Sukkoth (Feast of Booths), considered by some to be an independent celebration immediately following Sukkoth.
Ascension of Yeshua to Pentecost/Shavuot:
Spiritual Awakening – one of the primary meanings of the number nine in Hebrew is completion. The number nine comes after eight, which represents renewal and regeneration, and is followed by ten, which represents perfection and completeness. Therefore, the number nine is seen as the final stage of a cycle, indicating that a process has concluded.
*Chanukah/Hanukkah is my favorite holiday this menorah have 9 branches: eight lights for 8 nights. The shammash means the attendant (helper/servant) candle that is used to kindle the other lights – is set apart from the other candles (often higher or lower), on the ninth (9) branch of the menorah. In Hebrew Shamash: The ‘helper’ candle is used to light the eight flames of the Chanukah/Hanukkah menorah.

When placing the candles of the menorah, work from right to left. The menorah has one candle for each night of Hanukkah, which is celebrated for eight nights. There will be an extra candle in the middle, known as the shamash, which is used to light the other candles.
Many Jews have a tradition to use a beeswax candle for the shammash. Check history of Maccabees…even check the Book of Haggai…and study New Testament about Yeshua is the Divine Light come serve not to be served.

There are many excellent listings with spiritual meanings the number is 9.
