Pope Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio) (Latin: Franciscus, Italian: Francesco, Spanish: Francisco; born on 17 December 1936) is the 266th and current pope of the Roman Catholic Church. He was elected on 13 March 2013. The Vatican later said on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 7:35 a.m., that the pope died at his residence at Casa Santa Marta, a guesthouse at the Vatican where Francis had lived since his election in 2013. He was 88 age.
