Today’s Catholic Reading on August 17th Saturday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time.

I would like to share you all who was male child? First we all read Matthew 19:13-15 in order more scripture verses ok?

Matthew 19:13-15 USCCB
Blessing of the Children.
13Then children were brought to him (Jesus) that he (Jesus) might lay his (Jesus) hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked them,
14but Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
15After he placed his hands on them, he went away.

Matthew 18:2 USCCB (You can check your Bible)
He (Jesus) called a child over, placed it in their midst, ……

Mark 9:33-37 NABRE especially verse 36:
The Full Revelation of the Mystery

The Greatest in the Kingdom.
33 They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house, he began to ask them, “What were you arguing about on the way?” 34 But they remained silent. They had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest. 35 Then he sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” 36 Taking a child he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it he said to them, 37 “Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but the One who sent me.”

Who was male child? Ignatius of Antioch, Saint, also called Theophorus even was disciple of St. John. An Ancient Catholic Tradition identifies him (St. Ignatius of Antioch) and his friend St. Polycarp as disciples of St. John the Apostle.

Ignatius is a Greek name, and he also called himself Theophorus, “God Bearer”. Tradition says he was one of the children that Jesus took in His arms and blessed. St. Ignatius is one the Apostolic Fathers, the earliest authoritative group of the Church Father. Please research deep about St. Ignatius of Antioch (died 110 A.D.??). 🙏

Feast Day on May 31: Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today is the Feast of the Visitation, when the Blessed Virgin Mary, while pregnant with Jesus, greeted her cousin, Elizabeth is six months pregnant (Luke 1:36), despite being older and formerly barren (Luke 1:5–7, 13). Her child will come to be known as St. John the Baptist (Luke 3:2–3), an important precursor to the Messiah (Luke 1:14–17). St. John the Baptist (Immerser) and his anointed Holy Ghost role in preparing reaching toward people for the coming of the Messiah (Christ) means Anointed One.

Blessed Virgin Mary visited St. Elizabeth

I enjoyed reading same time learning ETWN: When Mary visited Elizabeth, what did Elizabeth first say to her?

Elizabeth exclaimed:

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord. (Luke 1:42-45)

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (n. 495) states,

“Called in the Gospels ‘the mother of Jesus,’ Mary is acclaimed by Elizabeth, at the prompting of the Spirit and even before the birth of her son, as ‘the mother of my Lord’.” While we do not know the word used by St. Elizabeth in Aramaic, the word used here by St. Luke, Kurios, is the Greek word chosen by the rabbis to translate the divine name of God, YHWH (I AM) into Greek. Not only is Elizabeth identifying Jesus as God, therefore, but Mary as the Mother of God. 🤟🙏❤️🕊️🔥📿🙏

Let’s joyous reading on USCCB Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Gospel

Lk 1:39-56

Mary set out
and traveled to the hill country in haste
to a town of Judah,
where she entered the house of Zechariah
and greeted Elizabeth.
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting,
the infant leaped in her womb,
and Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit,
cried out in a loud voice and said,
“Most blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
And how does this happen to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.
Blessed are you who believed
that what was spoken to you by the Lord
would be fulfilled.”

And Mary said:
 “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
            and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him
            in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm,
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.”

Mary remained with her about three months
and then returned to her home.
